A keyword cloud can display all keywords based on their frequency of occurrence across a collection of articles written on a specific topic.

In a keyword cloud, keywords that appear most frequently in the article collection are displayed larger, indicating their greater importance within that collection.

Today, visualization is one of the most effective approaches for information delivery and knowledge representation. This method typically uses visual elements including:
- Shapes and charts
- Color
- Size
- And others

to categorize data.

Noormags Approach to Indexing

Given Noormags' approach to indexing specialized publications and the approach of most reputable scientific journals (where each article must have keywords representing its content), this has led to the creation of a keyword corpus that can be filtered by:
- Different publications
- Authors (contributors)

Keyword Cloud Generation Process

By categorizing keywords based on publication titles, we obtain a list of keywords, each repeated a specific number of times across different articles. This categorization effectively represents the content of articles published in that publication.

To convey this knowledge, one of the tools is the keyword cloud, where:
- Keywords with higher frequency are displayed with larger, bolder visual representation
- Users can understand the thematic orientation of articles published in a publication at a glance and in minimal time

Application for Authors

This method also applies to authors. By viewing the keyword cloud based on an author's articles, one can at a glance understand:
- The author's areas of interest
- Fields in which the author is an expert

Current Status

Currently, on the Noormags website (Noor Specialized Journals Database), keyword clouds are viewable on both the publication page and the author page. Additionally, by selecting any keyword, users can view the list of articles containing that keyword.
