Necessity and Importance
When researchers need to verify the accuracy and quality of a book author's citations while studying a book, they sometimes have to painstakingly refer to the author's referenced book. Therefore, if this step can be performed by machine and more quickly, significant time will be saved for researchers.

Book Footnote Linking Service
This service attempts to link footnotes at the bottom of book pages (with all their potential complexities) to the intended book, volume, and page using the footnote address and the textual information under which the footnote appears.
Algorithm and Structure
The algorithm works as follows:
Stage 1 - Parsing the Footnote:
First, using an auxiliary database containing book names, author names, etc., it attempts to parse and analyze the input footnote text using a limited set of manual rules (approximately 300 rules) specifically designed for footnotes.
Stage 2 - Approximate Search:
Then, within existing books, based on the extracted information (volume and page number) and other possible results (due to differences between editions and name similarities/differences), we perform an approximate search for the phrase under which the footnote appears and extract various candidates for the footnote reference.
Stage 3 - Selecting the Best Match:
Finally, the best options are selected based on the degree of matches in the text and footnote sections, as well as other advantages for choosing the footnote reference.
