Citation Linking Service for Articles

The article citation linking program attempts to extract citations at the end of articles as much as possible and link them to the intended book or article. In addition to speeding up user access to linked citations, this also enables us to track articles that have cited a given article.

Data Sources

The process works by compiling a list of book and article information from various sources:

National Library (Iran)
Ketab.ir website
SID database
Magiran database
Noormags website
Noorlib website

All this information is then placed into a search engine.

Citation Extraction Process

For linking citations, we first extract citations that have not been manually marked. Therefore, using auxiliary text information such as:
- Various citation titles
- Their numbering
- Other editorial information

We extract and separate citations, which may appear in different formats across various journals.

Linking Process

Then, for each citation, we examine the best possible match of citation components with existing sources and obtain the best match across different components. If the match quality exceeds the desired threshold, it is introduced as a citation link.
